PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a water collecting device for a rain gutter with an exhaust port for fallen leaves and the like, which can be inexpensively provided in a resource-saving manner by virtue of a simple constitution, and which can make the rain gutter of a house maintenance-free because the water collecting device is equipped with a fallen-leaves discharge function using a natural wind force and a rainwater flowing force. SOLUTION: This water collecting device for the rain gutter is composed of a water collecting device body with an opened upper end; the exhaust port is opened in the wall portion of the water collecting device body; a water passing hole, the top surface of which faces the exhaust port of an upward-communicating eaves gutter or downpipe and which makes the rainwater separated by passing through the exhaust port, is opened in a vertically penetrating manner inside the water collecting device body; and a plate for guiding and separating the rainwater and the fallen leaves etc., in which protrusive streaks for guidance and sliding, guiding and sliding the rainwater and the fallen leaves etc. toward the exhaust port, are erected at required intervals, which guides the fallen leaves etc. by a rainwater flow and which separates the rainwater from the fallen leaves etc. to the utmost, is arranged in an inclined state.
