PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve a problem of being troubled by a spiral blade tip which does not easily bite into the ground depending on soil although a preparatory hole is conventionally bored using a drill with a handle mounted in T-shape to one end of a shaft body and with a spiral blade wound around the other end of the shaft body, when erecting a pile in a field or the like. SOLUTION: This drill having a handle 2 at one end of a shaft body 1 and a spiral blade 4 wound around the other end of the shaft body 1 has a locking body 6 mounted in a rotatable and vertically movable manner to the shaft body 1, and a treadle body 7 protrusively provided at the locking body 6.
