PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ornament capable of preventing the missing of a deformed-state retaining member such as clay recorded with a handprint or the like and displaying information associated with the deformation recorded in the deformed-state retaining member. SOLUTION: This ornament 1 is so formed that a container 2 consisting of a container body 2a and a lid material 2b stores the clay 5 as the deformed-state retaining member, the clay 5 is recorded with the handprint 6 formed by deforming the clay by applying an external force thereto, and an accessory 3 which displays a pattern sheet 7 formed of a photograph showing a portrait 7a of a possessor of the handprint 6, is fixed on the outer surface of the lid material 2b.
