A multi-user voice system and method are provided to simultaneously support the requirements of clients in packet regions and in circuit regions. The multi-user voice system includes at least one client in circuit regions, at least one client in packet regions, a multi-user voice server and a transfer server, in which clients in circuit regions switch voice signals with the multi-user voice server via the transfer server. The transfer server is used to transfer the voice signals between clients in circuit regions and the multi-user voice server. Clients in packet regions directly switch voice signals with the multi-user voice server. The multi-user voice server is used to receive multiple voice signals transferred by the transfer server from clients in circuit regions and voice signals directly from clients in packet regions, perform the processing of voice mixing on the multiple voice signals and send the processed voice signals back to clients in circuit regions via the transfer server and directly to clients in packet regions. |
