<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a received signal equalizer which compensates distortion of received signals using short-time reference signals. <P>SOLUTION: The received signal equalizer has a composition part which operates a complex received signal y with feedforward tap coefficients, and a composition part which operates a receiver-side reference signal selected as a standard signal s with feedback tap coefficients. An adder 32 sums signals outputted from the composition parts to output thereto, and an error calculator 40 calculates a difference between the signal outputted from the adder 32 and the receiver-side reference signal to output it as an error signal e. Based on a complex received signal y, a signal that the receiver-side reference signal is delayed, and an error signal e, a tap coefficient calculator 34 acquires feedforward tap coefficients and feedback tap coefficients.
