<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an industrial-scale production method of iodine heptafluoride, whereby iodine heptafluoride can be produced readily, continuously, efficiently and stably in a single reactor by charging iodine and fluorine into the reactor as starting materials. <P>SOLUTION: The production method of the iodine heptafluoride comprises, when charging iodine and fluorine into the reactor as starting materials, supplying a fluorine-containing gas and an iodine-containing gas to the reactor already containing iodine heptafluoride and reacting the gases with each other while circulating and mixing the gases in the reactor for the purpose of preventing the occurrence of any local reaction. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
