摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fingerprint authentication device capable of simultaneously achieving the miniaturization of a fingerprint sensor and the maintenance or improvement of the precision of fingerprint authentication processing without making a device configurations complicated or sophisticated. <P>SOLUTION: This fingerprint authentication device is provided with: a fingerprint sensor 20 for acquiring the image data of a portion of fingerprints; a moving means 21 of the fingerprint sensor 20; a guide means 22 for guiding the finger to the authentication position; an image pickup control means 11 for acquiring partial image pickup image data by moving the fingerprint sensor 20 to the image pickup position of each of the partial pickup image data to acquire the partial pickup image data for each of a plurality of partial image pickup regions set across the whole image region of the fingerprint image data in such a state that the finger is stopped upon fingerprint authentication processing; a fingerprint image data generation means 12 for generating the fingerprint image data based on the partial pickup image data upon fingerprint authentication processing; an image collation means 13 for comparing the fingerprint image data with the registered image data of the fingerprint of each of preliminarily registered persons to be authenticated for calculating a matching rate; and an authentication means 14 for authenticating the person to be authenticated when the matching rate is a prescribed standard level or more. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT
