<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable modification of a variety of print set values using a simple embedded program. <P>SOLUTION: From an application program 1 side, an input section 7 accepts a print job input including a plurality of print control items. A setting section 11 sets modification information to modify the contents of the print control items by relating it to a predetermined specific print control item. A setting modification section 9 discriminates the presence or absence of the specific print control item where the modification item is related to the print job, and replaces the corresponding contents of the specific print control item with the above modification information.
