<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vehicle control device for performing the engine stop control of a hybrid vehicle which is capable of previously suppressing degradation of the re-acceleration property. <P>SOLUTION: The vehicle control device for controlling the hybrid vehicle comprises an engine stop means for stopping an engine when satisfying a predetermined condition, and a traveling environment detection means (S102) for detecting the predetermined traveling environment.
