PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an X-ray CT system which can conduct a quantitative collimator control made to synchronize a data collection system. SOLUTION: The X-ray CT system is provided with a bed 103 which supports a subject and is movable in the direction of the body axis of the subject, an X-ray tube 105 which irradiates X rays rotating about the body axis, an imaging means 3 containing a data collection part 112 for detecting the X rays having transmitted through the subject, a collimator plate 107a for varying the irradiation field with the irradiating X rays, a scan control means 2 for controlling the movement of the bed 103 and the imaging means 3 and a reconstruction processing part 117 for reconstructing image data from the X rays detected by the data collection part 112. It also has a timing adjustment means 1 for detecting the moving value of the subject with the bed 103 and a collimator drive part 107b which carries out a control so as to vary the size of the opening of the collimator plate 107a from the moving value.
