PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a height of a wave formed by corrugating rolls from becoming irregular in a paper joint part of core paper or in the vicinity of the paper joint part without changing a paper jointing process of a paper jointing machine, the irregularity being a cause of poor adhesion with liner paper. SOLUTION: When the timing of arrival of the paper joint part D of the core paper A at the corrugating rolls 2a and 2b is detected and the paper joint part D reaches the corrugating rolls 2a and 2b, pressure of a pressing device 3 is increased for a predetermined time. By this when the paper joint part D is bitten by the corrugating rolls 2a and 2b, the corrugating rolls 2a and 2b pressed by the pressing device 3 are prevented from escaping, and thereby the irregularity of the height of the wave formed by the corrugating rolls 2a and 2b, the irregularity causing the poor adhesion with the liner paper B, does not occur in the paper joint part D of the core paper A and in the vicinity continuing to the paper joint part D.
