PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a navigation system and an intersection information output method, for a user to readily decide the propriety of an intersection as a destination, when a plurality of intersections are detected by intersection search. SOLUTION: Propriety of the intersection as the destination when setting a guide route is decided easily, by displaying advance-possible direction in the intersection assigned out of the displayed intersections on a monitor 180 by an advancing direction output part 340, so as to confirm whether the advance-possible direction in the intersection displayed as a result of the intersection search is conformed, with a direction of the final destination viewed from the intersection, when the plurality of intersections is displayed, as a result of searching the intersections crossed with respective roads allocated with a plurality of road names assignment-received by a road name assignment receiving part 26.
