PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem wherein it is necessary to set the distance between the center of a magnetic fine particle and a magnetic sensor to the sum of length required for connecting the radius of the magnetic fine particle to a biomolecule when detecting a leaked magnetic field generated by the magnetization of the magnetic fine particle using a magnetic sensor in a conventional method and hence the leaked magnetic field is attenuated. SOLUTION: In a sensing method, a member is prepared, where a plurality of magnetic sensors having a biomolecular immobilization layer on the surface are provided via a non-immobilization region. A labeled particle is specifically immobilized at least on one magnetic sensor in a plurality of magnetic sensors via the biomolecule. A magnetic film is formed on the member, and discontinuity in the magnetic film on the magnetic sensor where the labeled particle is immobilized is detected by a signal from the magnetic sensor.
