PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent noise generated from a blower from being easily transmitted into a cabin. SOLUTION: In an indoor unit 10 of an air conditioner for a vehicle, an evaporator 13, a heater core 15, and an air mix door 17 are arranged in an air conditioner casing 11. A bypass passage 16 is formed in the air conditioner casing 11. The air mix door 17 regulates an air volume ratio of cold air to hot air sucked to the blower 20 and regulates a temperature of indoor blowing air sent from the blower 20 toward the cabin. Blowout openings 35, 36 are formed above the blower 20. Since the blower 20 is arranged on the extension of and lower than the heater core 15, the noise generated from the blower 20 is hardly transmitted to the cabin in comparison with the case that the blowout openings 35, 36 are formed immediately above the blower 20.
