PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide technologies for developing a novel plane different-phase cushioning material capable of exhibiting high cushioning functions and permitting visual recognition of the expression of the functions, and shoes equipped with the plane different-phase cushioning material. SOLUTION: A foam cushioning part 11 composed of a rubber material in the foaming state and a filler cushioning part 12 constituted by the rubber material not in the foaming state but in the pure state are integrally combined in such a way as to be butted against each other in the end faces in the direction of thickness to make the cushioning material. The combined border part 13 is characterized by a finger-joint shape so that both parts are engaged with each other as seen from the top. The cushioning material can appropriately cushion the impact by integrating the cushioning materials respectively suitable for the impact of different qualities such as the impact applied to the sole when the sole touches the ground or the impact applied to the heel when the heel touches the ground, and the integrity of the joint part can be strengthened by forming the joint part in the finger-joint shape.
