The system (1) has a lower fastening system (6) with a profiled rail (9) fastenable to a wall (2), and a sealing section (10) extending over a lower edge (8) of a lining plate (5). The rail includes a shank (14) directed upwards and running parallel to a rear side (20) of the plate. An upper fastening system (7) includes a bearing fastened to the rear side of the plate and attached to a clamp (12). The clamp includes a counter bearing (18) pullable or pressable downwards by a spring element (19) of the clamp. The plate is pressed downwards in the sealing section over the bearing.
