The assembly has a gear teeth structure (24) provided at an inner circumferential section of a constant velocity joint hub (20). A gear teeth structure (32) is provided at an outer circumferential section of a profile shaft (30). The gear teeth structures are axially pushed into each other. An annular groove (34) is provided outside the structure (32), and is supported over a snap-ring (40) in a direction axial to the hub (20), where the snap-ring intervenes in the annular groove. The snap-ring includes an angular radially flexible section (42), and lies against the hub. An independent claim is also included for a method for connecting a constant velocity joint hub with a profile shaft.
