The diamond drilling crown has a tubular carrier body (2) with a base (4) with a projecting insertion plug (1). The carrier body and the base are formed in a pressure rolling (5,6) process. The carrier body has a wall thickness which is 0.008-0.016 times the outer diameter of the body, and its out-of-round rotary deviation is≤1.3 mm. The outer surface of the carrier body can be fitted with a spiral profile.
