PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable a user to select whether to continue or to stop soft calibration processing by determining whether a reflection phenomenon caused by a scanner occurs or not during the soft calibration processing.

SOLUTION: A specific color patch sheet outputted from a printer is read (S22). Then, the luminance information of the read specific color patch sheet is converted into density information (S23). Density values of different blank portions arranged in the specific color patch sheet included in the converted density information are then compared to determine whether the reflection phenomenon caused by the scanner occurs or not (S24).
