<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ink set satisfying suppression of an increase in graininess, suppression of quasi-contour, suppression of iridescent light, color reproducibility and gloss when the ink set is used for recording. <P>SOLUTION: The ink set includes at least ink of three colors, including yellow ink having a hue angle ∠H° defined in a CIE LAB color space on a recording medium, ranging from about 80° to about 110°, magenta ink having a hue angle ∠H° ranging from about 330° to about 360°, and cyan ink having a hue angle ∠H° ranging from about 230° to about 260°, and the following ink (A) and ink (B). The ink (A) is ink having a hue angle ∠H° ranging from about 0° to about 80°; and the ink (B) is ink having a hue angle ∠H° ranging from about 0° to about 80°. The ink (A) shows higher color saturation and lower brightness than the magenta ink; and the ink (B) shows higher color saturation and higher brightness than the magenta ink and higher color saturation and lower brightness than the yellow ink. The hue angle (∠H°) is obtained by ∠H°=tan<SP>-1</SP>(b*/a*)+180 when a*<0 or ∠H°=tan<SP>-1</SP>(b*/a*)+360 when a*>0; and a* and b* represent perceptive chromaticity indices defined in the CIE LAB color space. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
