<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a printing device capable of eliminating inconvenience wherein every time a user inputs printing data, the user must go get a printed matter to a position of another printer. <P>SOLUTION: A printer 1 includes a remaining amount detecting part 13 for detecting the remaining amount of a consumable article, a consumable article search control part 15 for searching printers 3, 9 having the consumable articles exchangeable with a consumable article, a network control part 17 for transferring input printing data to the printer 3 searched by the consumable article search control part 15 based on the detected result of the remaining amount detecting part 13, and an operator panel 19 for, when transfer of the printing data in the network control part 17 could not be executed, notifying the user of information for specifying the printer 3. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
