<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an airbag hardly influenced by heat from an inflator when an airbag inflation shape restricting strap ruptures, and an airbag system having this airbag. <P>SOLUTION: The strap 20 is provided in the airbag 10 to regulate a shape of the inflation of the airbag 10. The strap 20 is provided to connect right and left sides of the airbag 10. The strap 20 is formed of a fabric woven by warps and woofs and so configured that the fine line direction of the fabric runs in a direction oblique to a longitudinal direction, i.e., a tensile direction, of the strap 20. When a predetermined or larger tensile force is applied to the strap 20, the texture of the fabric becomes loose and the strap ruptures so that the warps and woofs of the fabric composing the strap 20 are pulled out of the texture of the fabric. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT</p> |
