PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To allow independent and simultaneous variations in the vertical direction and a lateral direction of an irradiating direction, and to perform reduction in cost and size. SOLUTION: This optical axis adjusting device of a lighting fixture for a vehicle tilts a lamp unit 130 supported by a fulcrum to upper and lower sides and right and left sides in a lamp room 101 formed of a lamp housing 110 and a transparent cover 120 covering an opening of the lamp housing 110. The adjusting device is provided with a case 141, a slider 161 movably provided in the longitudinal direction in relation to the case 141, an output part 142 rotatably supported by the slider 161 and connected to the lamp unit 130, a vertical-position adjusting means 160 for moving the slider 161 in the fore-and-aft direction, and a lateral-position adjusting means 150 for rotating the output part 142. The adjusting device is provided with an operation means 180 having a scale 183a showing a moving amount of the slider 161, a wire 164 for connecting the operation means 180 and the slider 161, and an initial position adjusting means 170 for moving the wire 164 without changing a position of the scale 183a of the operation means 180.
