PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a radioactivity detection method detecting radioactivity even from a separated position, and also detecting radioactivity from a radioactive material in a living body or in a device body with high detection sensitivity. SOLUTION: This radioactivity detection method includes a selection step S1 of selecting and acquiring only positively-charged particles or only negatively-charged particles from aerosol particles having mixed particles collected from inside a space existing inside an inspection object body which is an inspection object, namely, non-charged particles having a neutral charge, the positively-charged particles charged positively having adhering positive ions generated by action of an ionizing radiation, and the negatively-charged particles charged negatively having adhering negative ions generated by action of the ionizing radiation; and a detection step S2 of measuring the quantity of electricity of the selected and acquired positively-charged particles or negatively-charged particles, and detecting radioactivity.
