PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a drier for glass beads, facilitating classification between the glass beads to be supplied for recycling and those not to be supplied for it by efficiently drying the glass beads of a wet type grinder used for grinding and polishing a coating agent in a coating liquid slurry in a paper making process. SOLUTION: A casing 2 storing the glass beads G is freely shakably supported by a coil spring 4, and a vibration generator 5 is fitted to vibrate the casing 2. The casing 2 is provided with a jacket part 8, and a heating medium such as steam is circulated to heat the glass beads G inside and dry the same. The wall body of the casing 2 is provided with an upper discharge part 6 and a lower discharge part 7, which are respectively provided with discharge valves 6a, 7a. When the casing 2 is vibrated during drying, the glass beads G with a large diameter are moved to the upper part, and those with a small diameter are moved to the lower part, so that the glass beads with a large diameter to be supplied for recycling are discharged from the upper discharge part 6 and classified.
