PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an external preparation for the skin, which inhibits a bad odor arising from polyoxyalkylene alkyl glucoside, and is free of stickiness and high in an effect on moisturizing. SOLUTION: The polyoxyalkylene alkyl glucoside-containing external preparation for the skin contains 5-30 times weight and 0.075-2 times weight of a water-soluble polyhydric alcohol and mucopolysaccharides, respectively, on the basis of the weight of polyoxyalkylene alkyl glucoside. Whereby the discomfort odor caused by decomposition of polyoxyalkylene alkyl glucoside is inhibited, stickiness is lowered and moisturizing is heightened. COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT
