PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a disposable paper diaper capable of drastically preventing lateral leakage by arranging one or two separate absorbing units on both sides of the main absorbing unit. SOLUTION: In the disposable paper diaper comprising a first absorber 30 and a first absorbing unit 14 which has a first nonpermeable member 28 for containing the first absorber 30 inside, both being provided between a permeable top sheet 24 and a nonpermeable back sheet 26, second absorbing units 16 comprising a second absorber 38, a second nonpermeable member 36 which contains the second absorber 38 inside by opening one side of the second absorber 38, and a permeable second cover sheet 40 for covering the opening part of the second nonpermeable member 36 are disposed on both sides of the first absorbing unit 14. Thus, water leaked out of the first absorbing unit 14 is absorbed by either of the second absorbing units 16 disposed on both sides, thereby preventing the lateral leakage.
