A retaining device 31 for locating a glazed unit 14 within a glazed frame 10 and comprises a first bracket 32 for securing to the frame 10, a second bracket 33 having a flange 43 for holding the glazed unit 14 in place and a wedge member 34 insertable between the second bracket 33 and the glazing unit 14. The first bracket 33 has a detent [37, Fig. 2] thereon which co-operates with an abutment means [44, Fig. 3] on the second bracket 33 to limit outward movement of the glazing unit 14, the second bracket 33 being slidable relative to the first bracket 32 to engage the abutment with the detent, and the wedge member slidable along the second bracket to compensate for differing gaps between the glazing unit 14 and the frame 10. |
