A CRBT error processing apparatus of a mobile communications system processing an error condition in a coloring ring back tone service and a method thereof are provided to prevent the regeneration of ring back tone or silence by error of CRBT IP by transmitting default coloring sound data. A storage module(228a) stores coloring sound data to be provided in the CRBT service error condition in a caller mobile communications unit. A process module(228b) processes the call request call about the mobile terminal from the caller mobile communications unit. A data request module(228c), the mobile terminal is service joined in the call request call receipt CRBT, requests coloring sound data to a CRBT IP. There response is no error handling module(228d) after the coloring sound data request from CRBT IP.
