SIGNAL QUALITY MEASURING APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR WCDMA SYSTEM

A signal quality measuring device of a WCDMA system and a method thereof for improving the accuracy of measurement in signal quality measurement are provided to search a synchronous point by measuring the signal qualification of WCDMA(Wide Code Division Multiplexing Access). A WCDMA signal receiving part(10) receives WCDMA signal. A slot synchronization searcher(20) acquires slot synchronization by searching WCDMA signal. A PSC searcher(40) obtains the corresponding PSC(Primary Scrambling Code) of the channel searching the obtained code group information. A motivation re-searching part(60) searches a correlation value between the obtained PSC and received data sample more than one each of the obtained frame start synchronization through the frame start synchronization. The data sample having maximum correlation value is obtained. The signal quality measurement part(50) measures the quality of signal based on the obtained PSC and data sample having the maximum correlation value.
