NETWORK TRAFFIC MONITORING SYSTEM BASED ON STEP BY STEP FLOW INFORMATION

A network traffic monitoring system of a flow information base for efficient memory management is provided to transmit flow information generated through a network processor to an external monitoring terminal in NetFlow packet format. A flow control utility controls the operation of an application by using a configuration driver(114). An external monitoring console(100) manages the operation of the NetFlow generator by using a TCP socket. A NetFlow generator thread(113) produces the flow information through the configuration driver to the NetFlow packet. The packet is delivered to a UDP socket of a kernel space. The application of linux-based is initiated from the flow administration utility. The flow administration utility operates the TCP server mode. The IP address and port number of the TCP server are inputted from the user by using CLI.
