The road stud 10 comprises a central well for receiving and retaining grout, the base of the well including at least one opening 55A,55B to allow road grout in the well to contact the road surface. The well preferably has a substantially rectangular shape and is formed by opposing front and back walls 21,22 and opposing side walls 31,32, the side walls having a smaller height than the front and back walls. There are preferably between four and twelve holes that are elongate in a direction parallel to the front and back walls and arranged in two or more parallel rows, separated from one another by ribbing 60. The front and back walls are preferably hollow and transparent and designed to have a reflector located beneath them. Also claimed is a method for installing a road marker onto a road surface. |
