Radio signal based positioning device and method

The device (100) has a receiver (112) receiving a set of positioning signals transmitted through a radio. A frequency detector (116) detects frequency of each positioning signals. A transmitting time detector (118) detects a transmitting time of the positioning signals. An evaluation device (114) detects a position from the detected frequency and transmitting time of the positioning signals. The positioning signals are transmitted from transmitters (102, 104, 106) of a satellite system for world wide navigation. Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) a system for navigation or position determination comprising a set of transmitters (2) a radio signal based positioning method (3) a computer program product has a set of instructions to perform a radio signal based positioning method.
