A lid for use with a bread or other baking pan includes a first surface 2 and a second surface 3 spaced therefrom with a cavity 1 therebetween. In use, when the lid is placed on a bread pan it forms a different respective volume within the pan depending which of the first and second surfaces faces the pan. Such use of the lid in an upright or inverted position allows baking of two different sizes of bread loaf 8, 9 (or other food baked in a tin or lidded container such as cakes, puddings, desserts). There may be a series of holes 5, (6, Figure 1) in the lid to allow air to circulate. The lid may fit a plurality of pans P held together by metal strapping 7. |
