A method and an apparatus for forbidding the use of digital contents against copy control information are provided to prevent disc cloning attack by allowing the use of contents only when the nonce stored in the memory coincides with the nonce stored in the corresponding storage. A method for forbidding the use of digital contents against copy control information comprises a step of creating nonce for each storage connected to a protective device and storing it in a separate memory and the corresponding storage, a step of updating the nonce stored in the memory and the nonce stored in the storage to the identical value when content is moved from the original storage, and a step of, when the use of at least one of the contents in the storages is requested, selectively allowing the use of the requested content depending on whether the nonce stored in the storage including the requested contents and the nonce of the corresponding storage stored in the memory.
