<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a radio communication machine having a battery saving function which prevents head truncation on the reception side. <P>SOLUTION: In the radio communication machine which uses a battery 32 as a power source and performs battery saving of repeatedly stopping supply of the battery output to a reception circuit RX for a preliminarily determined second period in response to detecting that a reception signal is not inputted to the reception circuit RX for a preliminarily determined first period, and supplying the battery output to the reception circuit RX for a preliminarily determined third period after the passage of the second period, supply of the battery output to a transmission circuit TX is started when transmission start is indicated to the transmission circuit TX, and an alarm is outputted for the second period after the transmission start is indicated, and the transmission circuit TX is provided with a microphone muting circuit 22 which mutes output signals from a microphone 21 during the output period of the alarm. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO&NCIPI |
