A gift or credit card which is separable into first and second segments of card, has a first segment of card carrying a means for redemption such as a magnetic stripe, barcode or integrated circuit chip and a second segment of card adapted for use as an accessory such as a bookmark, luggage tag or key fob. The cards may alternatively be right-angled triangles in shape connected along their hypotenuses. The segment of card adapted for use as an accessory acts as a useful memento of the gift for the recipient. The giver and the recipient may keep the separate segments such that the giver may use the retained segment to top-up the account associated with the recipient's segment at a later date and from a remote location. |
