A quantitative water supply device for a refrigerator ice maker and a method thereof are provided to supply a uniform amount of water all the time for water supply sources of different water supply pressure by controlling the opening or closing operation of a water supply control valve according to the level of water supplied to an ice making container as sensed by a water level sensor. Water is supplied to an ice making container(100) from a water supply source via a water supply pipe(200), which is opened or closed by a water supply control valve(300). A water level sensor(400) senses the level of water supplied to the ice making container and outputs an electric signal therefor. A control part(500) controls the operation of the water supply control valve according to the signal output from the water level sensor.
