A lamp housing for a license plate is provided to satisfy the light distribution rule of the driving region by forming the lens having the different magnification. A license plate(110) is installed at the surface of vehicle panel(100). A lamp(130) is installed at the upper part of the license plate. The lamp is inserted into an accommodating groove(121) of the housing body(120). A lens(140) inducing the light to the surface of the license plate is installed around the body. The lens formed on each surface is formed with the different magnification. The lens is formed at one side either the outer surface or the inner surface of the housing body. The light generated from the lamp is controlled by changing the installation direction of the housing body.
