A control program download method of an ATM is provided to confirm the EP version of the ATM and update the EP version to the recent version when there is no failure in EP which is the program controlling the apparatus of the ATM, and download an EP recent version file and restore the failure of the EP when there is a failure in the EP, thereby constantly maintaining the EP version of the ATM with the recent version and easily restoring the failure of the EP. It is determined whether a failure occurs in the EP of an ATM(Automatic Teller Machine)(S110). If it is determined that the failure occurs in the EP of the ATM, a device number, which is the instinct identification number given to the apparatus of the ATM, is confirmed, and the recent version is downloaded among EP files stored in an outer server(S120). Whether the download of an EP recent Version file succeeded in or not is determined (S130). If it is determined that the failure does not occur in the EP of the ATM, whether the download of the EP recent version file failed more than three times or not is determined(S140). If it is determined that the download of the EP recent version file failed more than three times, a download error is known and the state is terminated(S200). Whether the recent version file of the EP exists in the outer server or not is determined(S160). If it is determined that the recent version file of the EP does not exist in the outer server, a download error is known and a process is terminated. |
