The invention relates to an injection nozzle for feeding a melt into an injection-molding mold with a nozzle body (11) and a central melt passage (12) having a downstream outlet passage (16) extending obliquely from the melt passage (12) and forming a outlet (25) for the plastic melt, the outlet (25) opening into a cup--shaped recess (17) connected with a gate orifice (22) of a mold cavity, the gate orifice being located at an apex region (19) of the cup-shaped recess (17), a nozzle needle (13) being provided that is shiftable between a position blocking and a position unblocking the gate orifice (22).; The outlet (25) of the outlet passage (16) opening into the recess (17) at location is spaced as far as possible from the apex (19) of the recess (17).
