The banner is a mobile device which emits spots of light, the light signals for which are dependent upon the position and orientation of the device. The resulting light pattern forms part of a pre-programmed scheme which can represent a message in text or image form. By moving the device backwards and forwards at sufficiently high speed over the entire virtual image, the viewer is able to see the complete image.
