<p>An LCD device and an electronic device are provided to offer an LCD device having an improved aperture ratio, thereby supplying a high-quality electronic device by using the improved LCD device. A substrate(100) has an insulating surface. A transistor is formed on the substrate. A pixel electrode is electrically connected to the transistor. The TFT comprises a gate electrode(102), gate insulating layers(104a,104b) on the gate electrode, semiconductor layers(106,114) having a microcrystalline structure on the gate insulating layers, and buffer layers(108,116) having the microcrystalline structure on the semiconductor layers.
