A power converting device of an AC(Alternating Current) motor in a lifting apparatus is provided to reduce unnecessary energy consumption by increasing or decreasing the number of condensers according to power required for the AC motor. A lifting apparatus(100) is installed at a ceiling. An AC motor(200) is installed within the lifting apparatus. The AC motor rotates a reduction gear(110) and a drum(120) forwardly and reversely. The AC motor includes a first to a fifth condensers(201,202,203,204,205). The condensers are serially connected to each other. The first to fifth condensers are electrically connected to a first to fifth relay switches(201a,202a,203a,204a,205a). A micro computer(130) adjusts the number of the condensers on the basis of rotation count value of the drum which is checked in real time. |
