A compact type Hangul input device for enabling a user to input keys intuitively and friendly by offering easy key layout using two vowel layout sets is provided to enable the user to input Hangul quickly with the remarkably reduced number of key entries by arranging the same vowels in two sets and automatically determining phase of a consonant following the vowel. A keyboard includes two vowel sets and two function keys. Vowels having a final consonant and the vowels having no final consonant are discriminated and arranged in two sets. Two function keys perform switching between two vowel sets.
