An alignment layer for an IPS(In-Plane Switching) LCD device and the IPS LCD device are provided to solve a residual image of a panel and static electricity, and to improve high-reliable property. Of polyamic acid and polyimide types, a first alignment layer(481) is made by at least one of the types. A second alignment layer(482) is made by a different type from the first alignment layer. The first alignment layer is formed on a first substrate(410) having a pixel electrode(430) and a common electrode(417) for generating IPS. The second alignment layer is formed on a second substrate(470) disposed in opposition to the first substrate. |
