摘要 <p>A method and an apparatus for assigning resources in a mobile communications system supporting high speed downlink packet access in which the resource is efficiently distributed to a user are provided to distribute the resources to the user efficiently when the user uses a service such as VoIP(Voice over Internet Protocol) and streaming. A service type is determined whether a connected call is a real service such as VoIP and streaming service or a non-real time such as wireless internet(S902). A maximum data rate according to a discriminated service type is set up(S904). The resources are assigned about the connected call by a normal scheduling method(S906). The scheduled data rate and the maximum data rate which are previously set up are compared(S908). If the scheduled data rate is greater than the maximum data rate, a data rate scheduled about the connected call is smaller than the maximum data rate by modifying an operation parameter(S910).</p>
