A linear compressor is provided to reduce the number of required main springs and simplify the arrangement of the centers of a rear main spring and a piston. A fixed element has a cylinder(200). A movable unit reciprocating with respect to the fixed element and has a main piston(300) reciprocating in the cylinder and a supporter piston(320) having a center accorded with that of the main piston and a supporting part extended in the radial direction of the main piston from the main piston. A plurality of front main springs(820) are positioned symmetrically with respect to the centers of the piston and the supporter piston. A rear main spring(840) has the center accorded with the centers of the piston and the supporter piston.
