A portable terminal and a signal processing method in the portable terminal for preventing the other party from interrupting privacy are provided to deactivate an image call contents storing function automatically and transmit a specific code for preventing image conversation contents. A video call is connected according to calling or the video call house signal receive of the video call(S10). The video call includes a one-to-one video call and a multilateral video call. A storage prevention code is received through the wireless communications unit in a state where the video call is connected. The storage prevention code controls in order to delete the archive file about the already stored video call contents. The specific server transmits the storage prevention code from the terminal. If the above-described storage prevention code is received, the portable terminal transmits the response message(Ack) about the storage prevention code reception through the wireless communications unit to the opponent terminal.
