#CMT# #/CMT# The method involves determining air mass of a set point and storing parameters defining functioning points and corresponding air mass in a storage device associated with an engine of a motor vehicle. Real air mass converted by time mass in an inlet duct at level of the points is determined and the real air mass is compared with the air mass of the set point, if the points are associated with another functioning point of an engine.
